WHY MEASURE INTERNAL RESISTANCE ONLY IN A FLOATING STATE ?
As a comparison, when the battery is in full charge state, UPS will not stop charging, but will still provide a constant floating charge voltage and a very small floating charge current to the battery instead. Batteries go to a floating state, SOC is always 100% at that time, the battery is relatively stable, and the internal resistance is the closest to its true value.
WHAT IS SOC, SOH ?

WHY MEASURE THE TEMPERATURE FROM THE NEGATIVE ELECTRODE?
Temperature on negative electrode would be significantly increased when batteries are charging or discharging according to the fact of electro-chemical reaction, it is widely accepted that temperature measurement of the negative electrode would more accurately reflect the internal temperature of the battery.
